Hassan and Jade launched Whip-It when their jobs were affected by the Covid-19 crisis, and building a company which has community at its heart and forefront is something which is at Whip-its Core. Here at Whip-It it is our belief that now more than ever we need to pull together to support local businesses, charities and our schools. Our business model is designed in a way to support local independent business owners (completely free of charge) and we as a business have made active contributions to our community.
Fundraising
In Christmas 2020 we created a partnership with the Bristol’s Children’s Charity. The Bristol’s Children’s Charity helps disadvantaged children aged 18 and under in and around the Bristol area, the charity helps to provide much-needed equipment and support to local schools and vulnerable children. At Christmas, we decided to create a partnership with the Bristol Children’s Charity, whereby we promote the charity and encouraged our customers to either donate toys or money to the Bristol’s Children’s Charity and in return we would offer customers vouchers and money off our services. We also did a toy collection ourselves amongst our own team too and together with the donations from our wonderful customers and staff we were able to collect a total of 150 gifts!
Supporting Students
The City of Bristol College is another partnership we are extremely proud of. We have built a close relationship with the college and by working together we were able to create bespoke work placement opportunities for their students which enabled students to complete their 30hrs of work placement (which is required to complete their course) and then we also offered a paid element so they could truly have that real-life work experience. This has been a huge success and we hope that it will make their students more employable for the future.

It is with great pride that we announce that we are the finalist for the Bristol Life New Business Award! We won’t find out if we have won the award until the 16th of September so keep your fingers crossed until then!
